Out on the town!! (Hilton: live in, clothes, where to)

Hi there!

I live in NC and a few girlfriends and I are going to NYC for a night in March. We have never been "out" in NYC and have no idea where to go. We will probably be staying somewhere in midtown Manhattan, like the Belvedere or Hilton. We want to go somewhere where we can wear our cutiest clothes and dance! We are all in our late 20's, so we don't want to go somewhere that has a really young crowd. That's what we are looking...any suggestions? Thanks
