Thats a school district, 1 district. LOCAL CONTROL is fine....
Tyrannical power mongering from the likes if the Ds and leftists like Cruella are not wanted!!
If you watch/listen to the video, there are multiple(10) states looking into doing the same thing. Let alone districts in states that aren't looking at statewide cellphone bans that enforce a cellphone ban in the classroom. So, this goes beyond just one school district or NY. Ironically, the governor of Ohio(a Republican, btw) in the video stated that he was on board with making this a statewide thing.

Sure, 'cuz government-monopoly schools want total control over what propaganda is disseminated in their schools.
Or they see the impact and distraction having a cellphone can be. This was a topic actually discussed in an episode of We The Parents of WNY that I posted about on another thread on here. Sometimes what kids would do is use social media using their cellphones to meet up for fights and other stuff. So, that is the other side of the topic that some may be overlooking. Think more about the learning environment and even the emotional aspects in terms of students.
^If students have a ban on phones teachers/staff should have to comply also then. Ban them entirely from the building for everyone not just one group.
