My husband and I are relocating to Ft drum at a terrible time. I'm expecting a baby in January. We need to move around November 1st. Our only problem is we have 2 pitbulls. Anyone have any tips on Pet friendly appartments/housing of any sort? Its always a hastle with them but they're our babies and we can't leave them behind. I need to start getting things done with our housing to get my mind somewhat at ease. And due to our dog's breeds we can not stay on base housing. We had that problem out here in VA, Ft. Eustis would not allow pits, but thankfully the Naval weapons station allowed all breeds so now we live 10 miniutes from his base on the naval base. Unfortunatly I don't believe there are any other military bases out there. Any help would be greatley appreciated.

You might want to look for a rental house that allows pets. Try here: watertown apts/housing for rent classifieds - craigslist

I believe Woodcliff townhomes are pet friendly. They are maybe 5 mins from post as well. If you need a hotel to stay in when you first get here, the Candlewood Suites is pet friendly. They are also located right outside of the gate. They just opened about a month ago and are super nice. The rooms have kitchens and are very spacey. They charge military $70 a night for a regular room and a $75 pet fee if you are staying less than 4 nights, if its more than 4 nights its $100. We just PCS'd up here and have been staying at Candlewood for the last 3 weeks! Walmart is also right next door so that has come in handy!
We haven't been here long but if you need any more information or phone numbers to any places or whatever feel free to email me servello08@live.com I'll try to help as much as possible!
Good luck!

The phone number for Woodcliff is 315-629-4999

Nicole
