Hi guys, thanks for the replies. I took a look at the owners manual, and it didn't say anything about a "Maintenance Filter" notification. I will give the local dealership a call and see exactly what's up.
If it's the oil filter, yeah it's ABOUT time to change the oil and whatnot. I'm at about 3,500 miles since last oil change, and I've gone to about 5,000 without that notice before. I got an oil change package at the dealership which was actually a really good deal, so they did the notification changes and whatnot, and maybe they forgot to reset that notification.
Anyway, I'll find out what it is and report back when I can

Sure it does. Section 2-20 of your manual tells you how to set Maintenance Notifications/Reminders for Oil, Filter, and Tires.
I have a 2010altima and they changed the oil.. but the oil filter mainatnce light keeps turning on. We keep reseting it but it keeps turning back on .. what i think is that Oil Can Henrys for got to change the filter... doe any one know if that could have happend or is there something else that might be wrong... after the oil change i can hear the engine ruff. . Not as quite as before .. any suggestions
