I've wanted one for 4 years now and the price of them has finally reached a point where I can afford one.
I found a 2006 Nissan Altima SE-R for sale here in the Orlando area with 91k miles for about $10,500. I can afford the payment since I will be putting roughly $1500 down on it, I have about $1000 in equity on my current car, and will be putting down $500 of my own cash as well
I'm also a fan of the Altima SE-R. It was much closer to the true SE-R heritage than the newer Sentra SE-Rs were. $10.5K is a good price if it is in very good condition. No body or paint damage, interior not worn, all electronics working, no major powertrain issues, etc.
About 20% of that should get the used Altima you already have and know in good shape.
Try living without a car loan for a few years.
Save $300 a month for 3 years instead.

I dont pay $300 a month on my car, more like $200, and I am already saving $300 a month right now with my current expenses, and I am also planning to attend school so the financial aid refund will help a little bit

There are plenty of people that finance cars. However, it is not wise to use part of your financial aid refund to purchase a car. Would going to school impact your ability to work?
Since you are saving 300 a month. If you wait a year you can 3600 saved.

I will NOT be using my financial aid to help buy this car up front. Although I may put some of that money into the car to pay it a bit faster, or do some maintenance if I dont have enough money of my own, though I should by that point.
Going to school would not have an impact on my current work hours. I work 32-36 hours a week at my job and there are people at my job who work 40 hours a week and go to school. If they can do it, I can too and not impact my work hours
The point is to get out of the car loan cycle.
That requires some sacrifice.
If you can't deduct your vehicle expense...
Not everyone feels that not having a car loan is necessary to a successful life. There is nothing wrong with it, if you can deploy your money elsewhere for a better gain. Putting down $10k in cash is a losing investment.
