I am picturing one of four. One is their current logo, one is the previous logo (which also had the name over a circle but with different proportions), one is the logo before that with the red and blue (the red dot was to represent the Japanese flag), and I also am counting the Nissan lettering itself which hasn't changed in the 30 years since Datsun was renamed Nissan. Some 80's and early 90's Nissan cars had this wordmark on the front, and I believe Nissan forklifts still use it as their only identification. Also, until at least 2000, Nissan Marine was still using the 80's red/blue logo.
Did Nissan forklifts and Nissan Marine use the Nissan name all along, and never Datsun? A beer store near me has a Nissan forklift that I suspect is from the 70's, but am not sure on that. If it helps, this forklift has the same Nissan lettering used today, but no actual Nissan logo.

Same here. Under that logo, I felt that was when Nissan actually made cars that made you want to drive. Unfortunately, today not so much
