Nothing wrong with that. I think more parents need to spend time with their kids and let them be kids. If my two sons want me to wear a costume to go along with their Halloween fun, so be it.
My oldest wanted to play baseball and wanted me on the field. I've been coaching him since he was 5 years old. Every spring and every fall. My youngest wanted the same for soccer. I know absolutely zilch about soccer, but I'm out there on the field learning as I go. You just can't buy memories like these.

Frankly, I can't see what he did that was so over the top spectacular. He put on a costume for Halloween. I think the pictures are hysterical, and yes, he's obviously a good father. But father of the year? For dressing up as a famous female character on Halloween?
Come on, what parent wouldn't do this for their kid if they had the time and money? Certainly less effort and discomfort than my aunt who put on a full-body chicken suit to walk around with her kids one Halloween.
I might have pushed for Chewbacca but at least he didn't try to go for the Carrie Fischer bikini Leia outfit.
