Most of the busiest people I know rarely post.

I'm not so sure about this. I have an associate that I went to college with who was and still is very popular and social. She is very active and into a little bit of everything (acting/modeling/dancing, etc.). She has a ton of friends in real life, and she is one of those ones who constantly post on FB. It is no different than family members who gossip about what their relatives put on their Facebook page.
I had to take about half of my family off of FB because they kept gossiping about every post I would make. One of my cousins who I haven't spoken to in over 7 years, felt the need to spread to the rest of the family that the reason I don't come around is because I don't think the family is "proud" of me
....she doesn't know anything about me btw......(the real reason I don't come around is because it is a drama-filled, dysfunctional family).....so, whenever I would write a FB status update, an aunt (who I haven't spoken to or seen in over 10 years!) felt the need to write, "I'm proud of you" under every post to be patronizing and to feel superior... rme. So again, those who constantly feel the need to converse about something as simple as a FB status update, is really no different from those who feel the need to constantly post on FB. The point is to interact with others and to stimulate some sort of emotion or response from an audience, rather it is positive or negative.
