I had rejoined FB for about a month and deleted (I think) my account again today.

The intial reason for re-joining was to follow a local issue (long story), but then, after sort of losing interest in the issue....I got, once again, into the screen addiction/obsessive part of FB participation, and then, finally the burnout.... the utter banality of it all just caused me to walk away again.

Not to mention the creepy thing of seeing people I knew as teenagers and children as adults...made me question how adult "I" am.....and the 'nostagia engine' aspect of FB, too...(which i find addictive)...

Hopefully this time they will have actually deleted the account. I thought I had deleted my account last September (Sept 2012), but as of the end of June this year, it apparently was STILL on file, since when I went to rejoin to keep up with the issue, FB "remembered" my e-mail addy and revived the account.

Your FB account is never deleted, only deactivated.

I think you can delete it permanently. I take breaks sometimes when I get annoyed by it. There's good and bad aspects.

I can relate to this. It just seems weird when old classmates are obsessed with someone they barely knew, if at all.

Nice find, I had always read that it couldn't be fully deleted.
