clueless about forum (person)

I know this isn't related to relationships but I am using this forum and have questions. I'm quite clueless about computers/technology, and don't go on forums much-
What are the symbols on the upper left corner of posts and what do they mean? How to use them??
Is there a page that explains how to use all the tools the forums offer??

Check the "About the Forum" all the way at the bottom of the main page. You'll find all the answers there.

If you go to "my settings" (top left, in the dark-colored bar) you can set your personal preferences - posts per page, time, privacy settings and so on.
And as Mattie says, the "About the Forum" has some "stickies" (permanent posts at the top of the forum page) that answer a lot of questions. Also you can search that forum using the search function (top right) and relevant keywords.
