Hi everyone, when I was 22 I was adopted by a wonderful couple. I had been in state custody as a youth and being adopted was a true miracle for me. I am now 38 and desperately searching for a daughter of my own. I know there are people out there who would love to have a mother in their life. I just have no idea how to find them. I just want to give someone a wonderful life and lots of love like was given to me. Does anyone have ideas? I like in Northern Oklahoma.

What a wonderful story.
What about adopting an older teen who is about to age out of the system?

Yeah, start by fostering a child. If things work out, maybe you can adopt her/him. I fostered a 12 year old girl 7 years ago but couldn't adopt her because her biological mother wouldn't sign away her rights. But I think of the girl as my own daughter and she calls me "Mama". You don't have to share DNA to love someone.
