Those of you who celebrate the holiday season: Do you include yourself on your gift-giving list and get yourself something special regardless of whether big or small?

Or if it's not a physical gift, do you maybe take a trip or go to a show or something as a gift to yourself during the holidays?

No, I am not on my gift list.
Buying myself a gift, wrapping it, and pretending it is a surprise is silly IMHO.

Shopping for myself is entirely different, as I do that year round whether it is a holiday or not. And it is simply 'something for myself', never a "gift".

This year, I bought myself a pair of shoes, a pair of boots, and a popcorn maker, and the tags will say they are to me from my kids (age 9 & 6). They're going to LOVE what they got me!!

Yes, sometimes I see something I want and it is on sale for the holidays and I will get it for myself. Not wrap it, but just buy it for myself.

I just bought myself two books and 4 chewie bones for the dogs today. Unfortunately, none of it was on sale.

Oh no, I definitely wouldn't expect a person to wrap their own gift and put it under a Christmas tree. That would be strange.

I just meant do any of you buy yourself a gift around the holidays (excluding wrapping it up. Haha) while you shop for your loved ones.

I need a new coat for sure and a few new clothes. I may order them online in the next few days.

I will get my self something if I can afford it but everyone else comes first obviously. Most of the time I just give my son and wife money to get me something but this year im buying my self a $400 pressure cooker. Probably one of the biggest gifts I have bought my self in years.

I don't treat myself, to me that indicates a want, not a need. But I do take advantage of holiday sales if I see something I actually do need.

Same here.
I don't see it as a 'treat' or a 'gift' just because I am buying something I need in December!
