so I don't like being given gifts.

I hate getting gifts that are food.

I hate receiving candy and cgood.

I also hate gifts that require caring for them,like flowers.

I don't like getting gifts either, never have. For me it's about what my mother did to me growing up. She was a narcissist so she never bought me anything *I* wanted, it was always what she wanted FOR me. Needless to say, many gifts were disappointing, and I was made to feel extremely guilty if I didn't act thrilled about her gifts.

As a result I've come to hate them. I try and remember that it's the thought that counts, but I'd much rather just not get any gifts at all.
