My sister gives us periodically toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, mouthwash and lots of goodies she gets when working at the dental office. We get these all the time and they are great.
Another person close to someone in the family, gives them to me and mom all wrapped up with a note that she hopes we enjoy her gift to us and hopes we share them between us. They are clearly something my sister gave to her.
Why not just say, your sister gave these to me and I wanted to see if y'all wanted or could use some of this stuff. I didn't need it all. Why wrap it in gift paper and pretend like you went out of your way to find these gifts to give to us.
Does that seem odd? To give something to us as a gift that we clearly know these came from our sister/daughter? Why wrap them up?
That's strange haha Re-Gifting happens, but I have never heard of some wrapping random free samples to give as gifts.. lol
When I was young, my Christmas gift from my grandmother was the "free gift" she received with purchases from the make-up counters. Every year. I didn't get an actual purchased item; just the free gift (mini samples, tote bag, etc)

And, I bet you loved them because they were from your grandmother.
Folks....some of you sound like snobs. Who cares what someone gives you....it is the act of giving that should be important.
Granted, perhaps you'd like something more valuable....but something the giver could use for themselves, and instead they gift it to you,....is still a gift.
If your sister gave them a gift .. it's theirs to with as they wish.
