I'm thinking that your former employers and co-workers don't miss you at all. Was it really your choice to leave them or was it more that they asked you to leave?
So if you ever wanted to go back to work with them, would they welcome you back with open arms?

I don't follow anyone on purpose. I never even look at the name before I give reps to a post.

But it seems that more often than not, I get the "You must spread some reputation around" alert.

Sometimes, what may seem deliberate may just be posters of a like mind.

When I read the thread title, I thought this would be about social maturation and not about the tendency to snivel about one thing or another, though that is interesting, too. I think that many people "regress" to about high school or college (university for the Canadians / Europeans) level on processing most issues. That's about the point that personalities are pretty much "locked in." If their personalities are set in place by elementary or middle school, then I'm worried about the person.
