What's your opinion of people who boast? I mean they are the ones who are constantly boasting about in casual conversation or social situations, how much money they make, how they hang out with an elite crowd, how high level their job is, how popular they are, how successful they are, how many degrees they have, how many CEOs they know, blah blah blah, and not just how great they are but the constant derision and put-down and belittling of others, what a bunch of losers everyone else is by comparison.
I find it really off-putting, I mean that's fine for a job interview, but in a social situation or talking about something entirely unrelated, it is just really annoying. Are they that starved for attention? Are they that narcissistic? Are they that unsure of themselves? Are they that self-absorbed? I don't get it. Is it just poor breeding? Bad manners?
How about you, what's your take on people who are always boasting about how great they are? How do you respond when someone yet again begins spewing?
