I don’t know how others do it. But me an hubby got a list from the yellow pages.
Type in city say (fort mill S.C.).
What kind of Company we wanted (Commercial sheet metal)
It gave me a list of company’s. From that list we investigated the company’s, (using google). Out of those we made a list to call (sort of to get a feel)
And to get a fax number if I already didn’t have it. (you can find anything out from google) lol
Then faxed all the company’s we wanted.
He so far has had 3 interviews 1 of them has hired him . An the other 2 want interviews with final paper work done on the spot. He has a decision to make. I on the other hand am still looking.
In my field (restaurant. ) it is hard to get a job sight un seen.
It was very easy to me. But you do have to put in the time an research so that you can make an informed decision.
We have been looking and interviewing for over 6 months. Two interviews with two different companies. Both times it has come down to my hubby and one other candidate. Both times it has gone to the other guy. Needless to say, we are very discouraged at this point.
