My family and I are looking to relocate to North Carolina from Texas and are curious to see if you may have any information/advice on the Mount Airy area.
Thank you in advance for your time as this is a BIG, step for us.
It's one of the best small towns in the nation. It's Andy Griffith's hometown and the model for the town of Mayberry on his show. It's a very, very charming and beautiful area (I'm about 1.5 hour south in the Charlotte area). But, as with almost any small town in the country, jobs are limited. Are you retiring? Already have an established business? One from home? Outside of the job thing, if you're looking for a small town, Mt. Airy is the place. Charlotte is an hour and a half to the south, and Winston Salem is 45 minutes to the east. It has a wonderful 4-season climate with about 12" of snow in the winter. If you have any more specific questions, just ask!!!
