how is it a personal attack for a person to think you subscribe to a certain political philosophy? again, you've attacked McCrory ina vicious way over and over, called him a bigot, racist, and other things that I don't think are true. but if i say you are a liberal, it is the end of the world.

i've seen you complain about the tea party, oppose fracking and off shore drilling, support min. wage increases and Planned Parenthood, oppose HB2, stated that you voted for Obama and liked the previous democrat govenor of NC, etc yet you act like it is crazy that i think you are a liberal. i don't get it.

ok. i'm not gonna talk to you anymore.

i am going to laugh so hard if McCrory wins relection given all the McCrory hate threads on here and the assertions HB2 is unpopular. i don't recall a governor who has been attacked as viciously as he has, except maybe Palin after the presidential election in 2008. he's just a guy who thinks men shouldn't be in female restrooms and locker rooms and businesses should have right to make their own bathroom policy. that could not be a more benign and reasonable view.

Paul McHugh is a bigot, of course he's unable to see LGBTQ people as normal. He also says transwomen are sexually attracted to themselves, something he calls "autogynephelia", which leads me to believe he knows absolutely nothing about how women see ourselves, which is tragic if he is married or has daughters. I am a woman, no matter how badly you would like it not to be so. My gender is my own, and not for you to decide. We don't believe we are the opposite sex. We know we are biologically male post-operative, we're not stupid. What we also know is that we are the opposite gender, gender is not physical sex. Our gender identity, everyone's gender identity, resides in the brain.

We don't go into bathrooms to get a sexual thrill out of it, we go in there for the exact same reason most people do. Because we have to p--s and/or s--t. Not for any other reason. That you think we are somehow sexual perverts shows that you know absolutely nothing about us, and are content in your ignorance. I myself am asexual. Which means I have no sexual desire. At all. To calm your fears about your wife and daughters, trust me...they ain't all that. I'm just not that into them, I'm afraid. They do nothing for me, and neither do you.

As for this nonsense of being confused, or needing therapy, it is you and others who think like you who are confused. For one, part of seeking medical care is being under the care of a psychiatrist, so we're already getting therapy. Secondly, the only way to receive hormone treatment is to have that ok'd by said psychiatrist, after at least a year of therapy, to weed out possible mental conditions. Any signs of mental instability is an immediate disqualification. Third, hormones are incredibly powerful, and not to be experimented with. Of all of the possible side effects, if I had to choose one to have, it would be the aneurysm...the rest are far worse. We are not confused, we have a legitimate birth defect and are seeking medical care to fix the damage, which means correcting the body. There is no other way. You may not understand this, but that doesn't mean that we are sick, or perverted, or wrong. It just means you don't care enough to actually learn something about us. Which is fine, but don't start running your mouth like you know what you are talking about, because you have no fricken' idea.

consider this scenario, what if every man decided he was a female (many of them insincerely so) and started using female restrooms. that means a 16 year old girl could be in a restroom with like 7 males. obviously just 1 male could overpower a 16 year old girl.
Ridiculous, and it's obvious that you know nothing about what it's like to be transgender, nor do you care to understand. The incessant mocking, bullying, and threats of violence, the stigmatization of us in society, the very real likelihood of being disowned by family and friends (which happened to me)...no one would choose this. No one would willingly open themselves up to this. It's not necessarily a pleasurable existence, often it is excruciatingly painful, physically, mentally and emotionally.

HB2 Continues To Have Little Support From North Carolinians

PPP's newest North Carolina poll continues to find that HB2 is very unpopular, and voters want to see it repealed.

Only 35% of voters in the state support the bill, to 44% who are opposed to it. We continue to find that there are a lot more Republicans (28%) who are opposed to it than there are Democrats (16%) in support of it. 50% of voters in the state would like to see it repealed, compared to only 38% who think it should stay on the books. That includes a 46/39 spread among independents in favor of repealing it.

Porn is all over the internet, in case you haven't noticed, so there isn't much need to spend a fortune to dress up trans to sneak a peek! How come we haven't heard about all these cases of men sneaking into the ladies' room in states that have laws similar to Charlotte's?

Could it be, Simpsonvillian that you're so obsessed with men sneaking into women's restrooms because you have a secret urge to do it yourself? Do tell!!!
Thank you Emissary.

Driving is a privilege, not a right. Voting is a right.

Public Policy Polling (PPP) leans Republican. That would be right, not left.
