Great post!

My husband used to do a pig pickin' annually, and used it as an excuse to get all of the family, and friends, together. It will certainly feed a crowd, and for non-pork eaters, you can throw some chicken-halves on the cooker at the end, too. If you can't find a crowd to feed, you can also use Boston butts of the pig(s).

Pig Pickens are a great mystery to folks from up north.
When I moved here, I thought BBQ was chipped ham fried up in a skillet with ketchup or BBQ sause (Pittsburgh style). I quickly learned...
