I thought about that too, but Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri was filmed entirely in and around Sylva, North Carolina, beginning on May 2, 2016, and running for 33 days, years after the tax breaks were reduced.

And having seen the movie, they definitely could have found a place in Northern Georgia (the new Hollywood south) that resembles that part of North Carolina, which was pretending to be Southern Missouri, and got even deeper tax breaks from that state.

Granted, a TV series, would probably take a lot longer than 33 days to shoot, depending on the amount of episodes, then if it gets picked up for multiple seasons more filming in the future as compared to a relatively "quick" time for a single Indy movie.

It's just virtue signaling. The current law standing is the same as it was before. The film makers were fine with it ten years ago, so why now. It's just silly.

Well when a SC state legislators talked about introducing legislation similar to HB2 around the time the dust-up was happening in NC, Nikki Haley nipped that in the bud with the quickness. Take that for what it's worth.
