Unlike some other states, NC is a "winner takes all" state when it comes to their 15 electoral votes, regardless of how many votes the losing presidential candidate receives.

No all states are winner take all, and that is why a minority of the people can elect the president. The latest in 2000 the candidate with fewer votes than than their opponent won the office, so much for one person one vote democracy, does not apply here, Moderator cut: off topic

Some states choose their elector(s) by the "Congressional District Method" such as Maine, Nebraska and maybe more. If one or more congressional districts votes for the losing candidate, they will be awarded the elector assigned to that district.
