I love Charlotte but the state in which we are in gets nothing done. We can't finish are bypass nor Independence because the big dogs in Raleigh think that the eastern part of the state deserves all the money. It is sad to think that Raleigh has two bypasses and ares is not done. I mean the roads in the Charlotte area are a joke I can't tell you how many potholes are in Independence... I stopped counting long ago. Charlotte is never going to reach what it could be until they redo the whole gov't in this state. Thank godness I will be moving. I just had to vent. I feel better now!! I mean am I the only one that feels this way??

Uh oh, here we go. Please tell me you're not originally from the North. If history repeats itself, you can expect a verbal lashing by certain people on this forum for posting something negative about the area.

As a native , I must concur. For some reason they prioritize rural areas over population centers. Maybe something similar to the Empire would set them straight!!LOL!!

Then I guess it is best you are moving. No area/city is perfect but what the area has to offer makes up for some of the trouble areas.

If it makes you feel any better, the rural parts of Southern VA gripe that NOVA gets all the state money.

I won't hold my breath waiting for the post that reads:

"I LOVE my state government!" The state house here is full of competent people making one brilliant decision after another so much that I enjoy paying taxes! I am just going to write a letter saying thank you for governing the great state of __________."

Hopefully where you are going has less potholes.

I'm no Perdue fan, but Charlotte's been getting short-shrifted long before the Joker ever stepped into the Governor's Mansion... she is certainly upholding the tradition though.
