I agree, a riverfront park is a great idea for the city!

I LOVE the Dave & Busters idea....something like that could really work. The Riverfront park is also nice. I WHOLE heartedly agree with the sledding issue. There is almost NOWHERE for the kids to ride anymore. it's really quite sad. I certainly wish that they would open McDade back up to that...what a great hill they have there. I once visited a park up in the Rochester area that actually rented out tubes and sleds and it had an indoor visitors area with a snack bar and rest rooms ect...talk about a hoppin place...very busy...and a great place for families to spend an afternoon in the winter.

DITTO....love D&B and I can not believe there is no safe place to take our son sledding legally and safely in Scranton!

West Scranton intermediate school has a nice sledding hill.

I think the best sledding hill that is still open is behind Penn State, in Dunmore....

easy 300 yard run if not longer.....I have been taking the kids there for years..
