For a 7 year old, Wilkes-Barre-Mountaintop area preferred. Maybe 30 kids in his class. Ice Skating is out. He mentioned "Frozen Ropes" for batting. We already did bowling last year. Any place for Laser-Tag locally? Any ideas are welcome.

A few weeks ago, there was a Birthday party expo at the Ice Box in Scranton which had about two dozen possible locations for Kid's Birthday parties. If you check the website of the people that put on the expo, you may get some ideas. Go to www.kiddilly.com. Hope it helps.

My kids love this place and there are always b-day parties going on:

Climb-a-Lot Clubhouse

Also, what about Kirby Park? The weather is nice enough now for that.

The absolute best party in the area for the last 20 years is the Abracadabra birthday parties at the world famous Houdini Museum on Main Ave, in Scranton, PA. The most complete and special parties anywhere. They have been on TV and when in New York before moving from New York they did birthday parties on the upper east side. They did parties for some of the biggest celebrities in New York. Diana Ross, Donald Trump, Carly Simon, Yoko Ono, Brooke Shields, so they know how to do a high class party.

They have their own building in Scranton, PA. On the day I was there it included a private party room, and a private game area with free video games, limbo, bean bag toss game and ring toss game, etc. The stage magic show in their theater included live animals which the kids love. A duck, a rabbit, a tiny poodle, and a dove. They even let the kids pet the rabbit, if they wish, at the end of the party. I spoke with the parents of the birthday kid they said if they were to try to supply everything them selves in their house or a community room it would cost twice as much or more, loads of work, and it would not be anywhere as good. Plus the wear and tear on their house if they did it there. Not sure of their phone number but I am sure you can find it online on a quick search for Houdini Museum in Scranton.

What about an indoor pool party? Here is Scranton we have Weston Field that allows for parties and has a small room for the cake, presents and gifts. Anything like that in your area, maybe a YMCA of something? I know kids with no summer birthdays love the uniqueness of pool parties for their birtday.

Maybe the OP could use some help with a party for a 10-year-old.
