LOL does anyone else find the robot voice that herds passengers on and off the Dulles Airport shuttle trains hilarious? I swear, it sounds like someone channeled their inner Julia Child. "Please shtep into the train!" "Next shtop ish Terminal B"

I have to say, when I first heard it I cringed... but now, after a full week of traveling and hearing one perfect robot voice after another, I'm rather fond of ours. It has character!

Well, it's better than the voice on the Metro trains. She sounds like a Marine drill instructor "PLEASE STAND CLEAR OF THE DOORS...MAGGOTS!"

Perhaps they got Dan Aykroyd to do his best Julia.

The great thing about an idiosyncracy like that is you can't resist repeating it, mimicking it, and then repeating it some more. So, can we get her to make an announcement for the metro elevators?

Can you imagine hearing "Shtay to the right on the eshcalators!" Everybody would be saying it, who could resist repeating it! If enough people say it, maybe some of them would actually do it.

I can think of other great voices they could use, Darth Vader, Spongebob Squarepants, you know, just to break the monotony

LOL, now that you mention it, that would be a great clip to have. Now the question is how to find one. Any ideas if the airport would have it, and who I'd contact to get a copy for public use?

This is the most hilarious thread i think i have ever seen! Julia Child is just a funny lady, i remeber watching her cooking show and her voice was montoned and nasally! My sister and I just used to love watching her, and she would ALWAYS make us laugh! To the point when i saw her name on this post i cracked up laughing at work and i HAVE to ride this train to see if what you say is true, if so i may be laughing like mad and people will be looking at me like wth....Rest in peace Julia Child's
