I spend the day watching the TV coverage..my husband was working in the Pentagon that day ..he was safe..so many others were not.

It is my way of of honoring those who died and be thankful that it was not my family

we were in lower manhattan for the afternoon (we had already gone to NYC for a HS alum event, and to visit family).

It was quite moving seeing the light beams. And wonderful seeing how NYC's vibrancy, including the new WTC 1, is a standing rebuke to the perps. I could have done without some of the loons drawn to the spot for the day, but thats democracy too.

we did not watch coverage on TV. We did listen to NPR, whose coverage I found no fault with.
