In the back yard of my condo, which backed to Baron Cameron, we had a little baby fox who liked to play with my dog through our sliding glass window. Eventually he got comfortable enough to follow my husband while he was walking our dog and would "bark" at him. This went on for about a year and a half until we moved. There was also a family of deer who walked back there and they had twins. So cute!

I also saw a ground hog running around with an arrow sticking out of his butt, which was sad but odd also.

A 300 pound bear. He is harmless but likes beehives and bird feeders.

I've heard that if you have an outdoor hot tub bears will become your new bff. Fortunately it makes them really mellow--just don't try to make them leave.

When I grew up in the San Fernando Valley of L.A., there was a small farm across the street from us (this was at least 50 years ago), and we heard what sounded like a woman screaming "Help!" Turns out it was a peacock.
