We'd like to take a drive, but no more than 2 hours, to a winery that is open to dogs and kids. Thanks for any leads

Welcome to Winederful BOW! | Barrel Oak Winery

Very dog friendly! Never thought about a winery being kid friendly though.

Wineries - VirginiaWine.org

You can do a search by features and location. I think we found barrel oak this way a while back.

Love Barrel Oak Winery! And there is great hiking near there at Sky Meadows State Park...so the whole family (four legged friend included) can get some fresh air, enjoy the glorious views and then stop for wine and tidbits at BOW.

I want to come up with a wine just for dogs. It would basically be beef broth. I think some of the crazier dog owners would pay big money for that. We could have "Charles Shaw-Pei," "Old Yeller Tail,"and "Barepaw."

Maybe I'll write a children's book about a dog who drinks doggie wine. "Ah, yes--this cabernet has great legs. Four of them, if my nose is correct."
