Hi - I'm looking for this mixed breed (puppies or young adult). I've been looking all over the internet and I can't find anything within 50miles from VA. Does anyone know someone or some place where I can find this adorable type of dog?

Thanks in advance!

Looks like these people are in Berryville, VA

Gleneden Cavachon

I also highly recommend Havanese as an alternative. Have 2 and they are a wonderful breed.

I'd suggest going to Pet adoption: Want a dog or cat? Adopt a pet on Petfinder and looking for cavalier or bichon mixes. There are lots listed in VA and MD.

The problem with looking for a mixed breed breeder is that I have yet to find one who is doing things in a responsible way. I would be THRILLED if someone could point me to a breeder who does the appropriate health tests for their breed(s), has proven their dog in some way (titled in some sport or in conformation, a certified therapy dog, etc) before breeding, and states contractually that they are willing to take back the dog at any point if the buyer can no longer take care of it. Like I said though, I've yet to find them. People figured out it's a lot cheaper to skip those tests and just breed two cute dogs, which ends up producing a whole mess of temperament problems and health issues.
