It seem like people in NoVa tend to stay on that side of the Potomac unless its work related. When referring to DC or MD you guys say "over the bridge" like its a big deal wtf. Granted, NoVa its own world and feel completely different from DC and MD...

I have family in Alexandria and Woodbridge and whenever I go out there they make it seem like DC is SOO FAR away.

We go into DC at least once a month. We go to National Harbor quite often too. We don't head to Montgomery County very often, mostly because it seems to have the same things we've got in Reston/Tysons.

I go to Frederick maybe 1-2x a month and to DC maybe 1x every six weeks.

Lots of fun stuff going on in Frederick, and it's closer to me (Leesburg) than Manassas, Tysons, Arlington, etc., and with traffic it ends up being a wash with Fairfax, Vienna, etc.

I'm in DC at least once a weekend, most weekends. Either I'm drinking and dancing on U St on Friday night or I am walking around all the monuments on Saturday or Sunday afternoon. I don't go into MD often.

I occasionally go "over the bridge" to DC or Maryland, but in my 15 years of living in this area, I've never actually heard that phrase.

we do things in DC all the time. Whether its a museum, a performance, an event on the mall, a ballgame, a dinner, a walk, or a bike ride.

Don't go into MoCo that much though. Went the other night to Olney to pay a shiva call (look it up). Went to Koshermart before Passover. Not long ago I did a bike ride on the C&O canal that took me over the line.

Rarely go to PG. We've been to National Harbor once. Went to Ikea there a few years ago. Ive been meaning to check out the Hyattsivlle arts district, but somehow never go.

I go into DC every so often to have lunch with friends or attend an after-work social. I wouldn't mind checking out more of the nightlife but most of my peers seem to feel "beyond" that at this point. I have friends in MoCo that I visit every so often. In PG, there's a favorite restaurant that I find myself at perhaps twice a year.

Who you saying has to look up "shiva call"? I think the DC area has the potential for its own patois - "y'all better stop that kvetching now."

In DC and MoCo (mostly Bethesda, SS and TP) frequently, but have not stepped outside a car in PG for about 20 years.
