Looking for something with good happy hour prices and good music~~rock or r& b would be a great bonus. Maybe a pool table but its not a deal breaker. I want to avoid the loud and frat type drinking holes where the younger crowds are yelling and acting obnoxious. Thanks for any leads!

Hopefully someone has a good recommendation for you, but I think your two requirements are impossible to find. In my experience, places with good prices and good music are the first places to attract and retain the younger crowd, who, inevitably, start yelling and acting obnoxious (due to a few too many of the cheaper drinks).

I've found, if you want to escape the younger, obnoxious crowd, you should be willing to pay outrageous prices for your drinks. Places with $15 cocktails aren't usually laden with loud, young people.

Northside Social on Thursday nights is my favorite cause of the barbecue outside

Mr. Days is good on Wednesdays cause they have $3 beers and appetizers

rest of the time I like Rooftop and avoid spider kellys, rock bottom, and always avoid clarendon ballroom, home of the fighting d-bags.

If you want to play pool go to carpool, its the obvious choice as it is a billiards hall and its alright as a bar

We used to have work events at Whitlows. They have pool tables on the side, and I don't remember drinks being crazy.
