Hi, interested in a 20x12 deck with Trex composite material and with post lights and riser lights. I am going to get some quotes. But just want to get some idea what I am getting into. I am in Tysons area.

Thanks

I just wanted to add that if you go with a big named company, they will sub their work out to these "crews" which are sub-contractors; whom normally bid on work. If I were you, ask around your friends and neighbors for their advice or someone. BTW, Trex is made right her in Winchester, VA. The post caps and hollow sleeves covering the posts can be found online if you want to save money. I'd say you're in the $10k range.

I don't know of a company, but I wanted to add that a screened in porch actually made it pleasant to be outside this summer. No bugs to worry about and a nice ceiling fan to keep the temperature in check.

I have a relative in a giant house in Mclean who paid a little over 20K for a deck like that. I think that probably means that 20K is the way too high Mclean price, and you should be able to get it cheaper.

Smart woman and correct. 20k is way too much for a deck.

Hi JW,

Sorry for the delay in this reply. I would not recommend the company that built me deck.

I shopped around and got quotes from several companies. I am very pleased with the deck that Woodscape Construction built.
