Hello:

We are preparing to sell an investment single family home in Oakton. We need to spruce up the place a bit so in need of a reliable handyman with the following skills: paint, cauling, light landscape (spreading mulch, etc), deck cleaning, etc.

Thanks for all that respond.

Do you have a realtor yet? If so, get them to do the "legwork" on finding handyman and landscaping services for you. They can most likely get you better prices, since the contractors want repeat business. Saves you time on calling around and scheduling, etc., all you have to do is write the check (or even defer payments until closing!)

I've found the opposite. Services referred through realtors cost more. Sure enough, the handyman my realtor suggests costs significantly more than the one I was referred to by friends.

OP, the guy I use is great with drywall repair, paint, caulk, grout but I'm not sure about pressure washing decks so he may not work for you.

- Ask your neighbors;
- Check any postings or job opportunity sites at your library, local community center, or paper;
- Check out Craigs.list. Just be careful and screen them well.

Please provide the name of your handyman. If he can well what you mention, then the other work with the deck is easy. There much more of paint, caulk, grout, etc. thanks in advance.
