My buddies and I are looking in to different options on where to watch the Super Bowl this Sunday.

Just curious if anyone on the board has been to either the State Theater or the Arlington Drafthouse to watch the game in previous years?

Any thoughts on either one of these 2 venues for watching the game?

Thx

I haven't but I can definitely recommend First Down Sports Bar in Ballston or American Tap Room in Clarendon if you're into the sports bar scene.

Only been to Drafthouse for a movie--way back. IIRC, you have to order so much in food/drink, like a restaurant. Also, parking may be harder at Drafhouse (though there are some nearby streets you can park on). I've never been to the State Theater.

Glory Day's wouldn't be a bad place. Capool in Herndon isn't too bad either.

I have only been to Alamo Drafthouse for a movie and State Theatre for a band. Either one seems like it would work for the game.

Wouldn't you rather be in a crowded, smokey bar with drunken fans wearing jerseys and red/blue or blue/green Mardi Gras beads? That sounds like more fun.

Haven't done the big game at the State, but I love the venue. I imagine seeing the game there could be fun.

I know we'll be at Redzone in Fairfax City. 3 Large projectors and loads of televisions, comfy couches, good sound system. I think there are some decent food specials going on as well.
