Hi everyone,

I was trying to look and see where I could find an emotional impairment special needs school. We currently have an IEP in place, but I am lost as to where to look for a good school district. Any help or assistance would be appreciated.

Fairfax County public schools are very good.
Fairfax County Public Schools

Commuting in this area is a BIG ISSUE!!! Where will the jobs be?

I agree, commuting is a key item to consider. I live in the county next to Fairfax called Loudoun County (to the west of Fairfax, near Dulles Airport). I too have a special needs child (5 years old) with an IEP. Loudoun County is very good in this realm as well.

I'm unsure husband wants to stay close or near Virginia beach. I'm unsure of where my husband will be recruiting at.

This is the Northern Virginia thread. Virginia Beach is another planet.

Virginia Beach, part of the Census msa known as Hampton Roads, is 5 hours one way driving on Interstate 95. Virginia Beach is minutes from the North Carolina border.

Most of Northern Virginia borders Maryland and Washington DC. Nova schools are vastly superior and our our real estate is very very expensive

you better figure out where you are moving to...

Nothing against OP but how does one think Virginia Beach is in Northern Virginia? Two different worlds.
