Just curious and figured you longer time residents might know. I had heard from some that there might be but they don't live there, figured you were the best source.

Most federal workers are not appointed by the President; so they will stay in their jobs. Change of party power does not normally have an effect on the RE market.

If the president-elect "drains the swamp" and succeeds in reducing/eliminating government services/agencies, I suppose there could be a glut of available real estate if there's a significant reduction in employment in the capital region.

I read into this recently and found that there are small spikes in real estate after an election with an incumbent president staying and large spikes after an administration turns over. It could just be coincidence though.

There have been a few stories on this idea, and the conclusion was that the people who'd actually leave the area with a change in administration are most likely renters.
