kingstowne or springfield general DDS recommendation (Alexandria, Seven Corners: insurance, DMV, maintenance)

Hi. Looking for a general dentist in the kingstowne or springfield area of nova.

I'd prefer someone who is more conservative (ie, doesn't jump to fill every little cavity).

lots of dentists watch & wait for small cavities. it's a very conservative style, which is what i prefer in my medical care.
i find it gets too expensive if i fill every small cavity.

The dentist in my office complex has done an excellent job with preventive maintenance and not advising me to do large jobs just to increase his profit margin. His staff is very nice. Their office is off Grovedale and Beulah, down the street from the DMV.

I 2nd Dr Pisciotta, loved him. Do not go to Kingstowne Dental care @ Manchester Lakes. Serious issues with their "quick to put in a crown" mentality. I actually overheard the dentist (I'm assuming it was the dentist) tell the tech, lets just put in a crown, the insurance will cover it. After my crown led to a root canal, which failed, I had to go to an oral surgeon to re do it. I switched to Pisciotta, who noticed a cavity on the other side that he said had to have been there for at least a year or two, he requested my xrays, (so I wouldn't have to pay them $$ to get my own xrays) and said it was there, but they only paid attention to the tooth on the other side.

No recommendations for the area but I agree that dentists seem to vary so much in cost and quality. I had one dentist near Seven Corners try to sell me the moon and stars after saying that I had 4 cavities. 6 years later not a single problem from these "urgent fixes."
