Not a bad shopping area, has SuperTarget, a few good pizza places, a cigar lounge, a good Mexican restaurant... Best Buy didn't last there though; closed about 2 years ago. I think Dicks is still there. Don't remember what if anything used to be next to Kohl's; was it an art/craft store or fabric store? That immediate area can definitely use another supermarket option as the immediate vicinity only has Target and Walmart.

Dicks also closed down (not sure when).

According to the updated Free-Lance Star article, it will be new construction in front of the Kohl's.

Hmm. That's rough. Now I suppose one would have to go to Rt. 3 to visit the Dick's at the mall or Gander Mountain.

JoAnne fabric and craft store is next to the Kohls at Cosners Corners. The other JoAnnes closed down so that's the only one left - it's very popular. They have a lot better coupons than Michaels.

Yup, that's the store I was thinking about. Moved out of that area north a few years ago and only go down seldom to check on the rental property.

Not really a Publix fan since I dislike all things Florida, but it would be helpful to have a shopping center there as other posters had mentioned. Not good that the Dick's and Best Buy closed. There really is a myriad of shops and apartments being put up around here. This area is not my cup of tea but I am stuck here. Additional resources help me dislike of the area e.g. retail therapy. An Autozone just went up as well. I prefer Advance Auto, but maybe one will come further south now.

Is there a reason why Cosner's Corner has struggled over the years? I remember visiting around 2012 or so, and it looked like an excellent suburban shopping center. I would have expected a shopping center surrounded by new home development with high income residents to retain stores a bit better.

If you live right by there (or just to the north), you could also be at Central Park in less than 10 minutes (I-95 traffic permitting!)

Also, the population density tapers off pretty quickly in two of the three directions that the main highways flow from there (US-17 "South" going East to New Post and Port Royal, and US-1 South towards Massaponax and Thornburg).
