You could drive to Rosslyn and then take the George Washington Parkway north, or take Old Dominion Drive through McLean to 123 (Dolley Madison Blvd / Chain Bridge Road), or take Route 50 west. Yahoo maps will definitely avoid 66 West if you want to look at a map online.

Go east from Ballston on Wilson blvd to 10th street. Take that to 50 east. Follow 50 east. Exit for Rosslyn on the right. Go right off the exit, through Rosslyn and turn left just prior to key bridge to get on the GW Parkway. Take that to 495.
