Hi all,
I'll be moving out of a 1 bedroom apartment in Arlington in a few weeks and am looking for some advice on moving help. My wife and I have moved ourselves for our last couple of moves, but she's pregnant now so we're thinking about just getting somebody else to haul our stuff that we will already have packed up and disassembled.
I've gotten quotes online and read reviews on sites like movereviews.com - and I can't help but wonder if there is a more economical alternative like a couple of college guys with a van or something. We don't have a lot of stuff (or willing friends, unfortunately), so we literally just need stuff transported to our new place that's about 5 minutes away and set down in the room it's going to be in.
Most moving companies seem to have a minimum number of hours they bill for and charge for an hour of travel no matter what. Anybody had any success with any alternatives in the area? Thanks in advance for any advice you may have.

Ok, not sure if it's bad form to answer my own question - but for the sake of anyone else out there just looking for somebody to help with loading and unloading I found this site while searching through Craigslist last night.

Choose a mover, # of helpers, and time needed. Most have a "travel fee". You'll need to rent the truck and drive it. I've used them several times and had good results each time. There are reviews from previous customers. Good luck!
