So from what I can tell where we have found houses available we will land at either:
Iroquois-If we get a place at the waterfront
Holomoa
Pohokea
Ewa Elementary
Ewa Beach Elementary
Kaimiloa
Keoneula

I'm about ready to lose my mind reading reviews and ratings from greatschools.org

Would love to hear any experience
Thank you!!

Actually I should just ask if anyone has any experience with
Pohokea
Ewa Elementary
Ewa Beach Elementary
Kaimiloa
Keoneula

I have already heard quite a bit about Iroquois and Holomoa

Heatherlf, my grandson attended Ewa Beach Elem (2009) for one semester and I pulled him out. I liked the front office staff and the counselor but did not think much of the teachers and principal. I sent my grandson to a private school in Kapolei (Island Pacific Academy) that I absolutely love.

My neighbors sent their children to Keone'ula (part of Ocean Pointe/Ka Makana) and they spoke very highly of the school, students and staff.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure how I missed your last sentence there. We have actually been looking In the area around that school. Hoping this is the one!

We've lived in a few places, all on the Leeward side or in Ewa Beach. Ocean Pointe and the newer KaMakana were very nice. Unfortunately you have to follow up on which elementary, because some of the older homes south of Keoneula wete slated for Ewa Beach - not a good choice. You might be able to get an exception to attend the newer school.

Hi i have a niece who goes to Kaimiloa, it has improved from last year. She enjoys that she has the same teacher from last year.

I say if your from the mainland and you are used to a great public school system? You maybe disappointed in Hawaii public schools. Don't get me wrong some schools have great caring teachers and administrators. Its just in my opinion we don't pay our teachers well and this is also Hawai'i lol. One positive i hear, is we have low teacher/student ratios vs large mainland school systems.

If your looking for the best or an elite education then i would suggest private school.

How does one manage to graduate from one grade to the next at Ka'imiloa and still retain the same teacher?

Inquiring minds need to no

Teachers don't make much money on the mainland either. At least in CA.
