Remember how the cornerstone of Kasich's election was blaming the 2007 nationwide recession on Strickland? And how he managed to convince enough gullible Ohioans that all of Ohio's problems could be blamed on Strickland? Well, and independent business publication ranked Ohio SECOND in the nation in luring businesses in 2010.

Way to go, majority of Ohio voters. I hope you're happy.

No one wants to be second.

We were first on this list in years past.

Strickland let us slip to second and deserved to lose.

Kasich loves to take the credit though. But he has no problem calling cops idiots.

Back that up with a link please, I'd love to read all about it.

EDIT: Wait I found out when we were first! It was in 2008...... also under Strickland.

In fact Ohio was 1st for 3 years under Strickland.

Ohio claims its third Governor's Cup in a row, thanks to the Strickland Administration's focus on taking the steps necessary to be competitive, even in a challenging economic environment. These include investing in infrastructure and such key industry sectors as advanced energy.

That isn't why people voted for Kasich, though.
They voted for him for the EXACT SAME REASON WE VOTED FOR STRICKLAND when he won.

WE WANTED CHANGE... at the expense of whatever...

And no I cannot explain how Kucinich keeps getting re-elected.

While on the surface it seems like he never changes -- because he's always quirky and kooky and highly entertaining -- you never know what he's going to be quirky or kooky or entertaining about.

Quirkyness aside, people keep re-electing Kucinich because he will do things for people that aren't even on the radar of most legislators. I know of countless people that his office has helped. People are grateful and, in kind, return the favor with their vote.

And most importantly - he's harmless.

I met Kucinich years ago, and despite his alien beliefs, he is one politician I like.

I met him a couple of times, too, when he ran for governor in 1982, and had the same impression; he's friendly and willing to listen.

Back when the earth was cooling, the Plain Dealer ran a spoof of "Real Men Don't Eat Quiche" in its Sunday magazine. One of the things "Real Clevelanders" did was ... "believe Kucinich was right."
