Which towns have that more intimate feel downtown versus wide streets with angle parking for instance. Westerville seems like the closest example so far but would love to see more.

Umm...pretty much most towns in the state really. Best examples at the top of my head being Lebanon, Middletown, Massillon, Wooster, Marion, Delaware, Piqua, Springfield, Marysville, Urbana, the list just goes on.

Chagrin Falls...

which, I believe, actually was the locale for a Hallmark film. It was, in fact, that place where the 1977 made-for-TV film "The Gathering" was shot -- a very heartwarming Hallmark-esqe film. Chagrin Falls' old, wholesome New England flavor is part Hallmark, part Norman Rockwell.

You beat me to it. Chagrin Falls was the first that popped into my mind.

Batavia and Williamsburg are close to me. Driving down their main streets I can always picture them closed off for a Hallmark movie style parade, or a pie baking contest set up on the lawn of a church.

Just imagine... The girl who left town after high school for adventure in the big city returns home after several years, and crosses paths with the former bad boy who has turned his life around.

Urbana is probably the closest of the towns I’ve been.

Hallmark filmed one of it’s Xmas horror shows here in Lebanon, it’s about a developer who renovates small towns and it’s discovered that the towns he had worked in became too expensive for the locals to afford to stay in. It’s scary because it happened here in real life, a girl I went to school with came back to take care of her elderly parents and can’t find a rental she can afford.

My wife had a bit part in the movie and is listed as “church patron” in the cast list.

The hospital admissions scene was shot at the sheltered drive up entrance to the Presbyterian church, they put fake snow all over the streets and people were wearing winter clothes in 80 degree heat. The exterior church shots are the Methodist church and the interior shots were taken at the episcopal church.

The film was shot 10 years ago and I had various photos posted on the forum somewhere.

There are several NE Ohio towns that could fill in.

FWIW, most of those Hallmark movies are filmed in Canada.
