Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a fun family oriented place to spend an afternoon. Are there any places not too far from Choctaw that offer pumpkin picking? We also love Apple Orchards....any ideas?
Thank you.

I highly recommend the Parkhurst Pumpkin Patch in Arcadia Parkhurst Pumpkin Patch, mainly if you have little ones under the age of 8 or so. Any older and they might think it's boring.
It's in a beautiful country setting and has hay rides, pony rides, animals, tire swing, hay maze for little ones, corn maze and an area of pumpkins to bring home- it's not a patch though, just already picked pumpkins piled up on wagons, etc to look through.
If you're looking for a bigger place, with TONS to do, especially for older kids, go to the Orr Family Farm in Moore. Orr Family Farm: Family Agr-Tainment in Oklahoma City This one has an actual patch you take a hay ride to.

I don't think there's any apple orchards in the area- I know people that grow them but it's not very common down here in Ok vs the north.

Thank you so much Emery'sMommy! My daughter is 16 so Parkhurst might be to boring, but Orr may be a great place to check out. I sure wish there were Apple Orchards, I miss that. Someone also mentioned a great pumpkin patch/maze in Shawnee...I think it was called Mikles farm.
Even though my daughter is older, she and her friends still enjoy going to pick pumpkins...I do too!
