We are canceling one cell phone plan.
Can i transfer the remaining phone number to this unused cell phone, so that I have two phones for the same number?
How is this done?
The cell phones are Samsung Galaxy

You swap SIM cards. You can’t have two phones with the same number.

As already said you can't have two cellphone instruments using the same number. If your cellphone don't use sim cards, then you can get the provide to transfer the remaining number to your other cellphone if you are okay with having no service on the original phone.

It’s actually called cell phone cloning and it’s illegal. Phone cloning is outlawed in the United States by the Wireless Telephone Protection Act of 1998. Back in the day phones were analog and were easy to scan and reprogram. That’s why people would get a cell phone bill with $1500 with calls to Familystan or Relativeslavia.
Phones can still be cloned but it’s illegal here
