I like to live in a place that is accessible to deciduous and coastal scenery as well as the mountains.

Yep. Need more info. So far you have narrowed it down to west of the Cascade Range.

Not just the Willamette, the entire I5 corridor.

So you want a safe neighborhood west of the Cascade range running the entire length of the state?

Let me help you help us...

1) Size of city
2) Job needed
3) Housing/rent you want
4) Near a university?
5) Access to culture like Broadway shows, Symphony, etc?
6) Access to nightlife?
7) Dog friendly?

You can find many safe places in the Willamette and Rogue valleys. What kind of lifestyle are you looking for?

Mod Note:

Tell ya what, eling.

How about you narrow down your priorities a little and come up with some very specific requirements?

The good, helpful folks on the Oregon board are more than willing to give you the benefit of their expertise, but they need something a lot more specific to work with. If you just give them general platitudes, they are wasting their time.

Please figure out what your exact parameters are and then repost in a new thread.
