I've heard a rumor that the big storm a few days back caused a great deal of erosion of the beaches in the Arch Cape/Cannon Beach area.

Can anyone here confirm or deny this? Thanks.

This is a pretty good shot of Cannon Beach. KGW8 just put all the weather cams together on this page at the end of last week and are still working out the bugs.

Thanks for the input.

Looks like my source was exaggerating a bit, but nevertheless quite a storm.

There are also a couple beaches on the Oregon Coast that have a very marked winter beach vs summer beach - the winter beach is a much shorter strip of sand at a steeper angle of repose and the summer beach is gentler and broader. Sometime the pic of a winter beach, when you are used to seeing the beach area in summer, looks drastic. I know Bullard's Beach, near Bandon, is very different seasonally.
