Hello, I'm new to the forum. Looking at somewhat isolated towns in eastern Oregon since there is a possibility that we may buy a ranch in the Ironside area. I realize all the towns mentioned are very small (more like just communities), but we are not looking for all the trappings of a big city. Can drive to Baker City or Boise within 2 hours for shopping, etc. Just curious about friendly people or accepting of newcomers, weather, etc., the usual questions a newcomer may have. Have lived in Arkansas, South Carolina, Alaska and West Virginia so we're pretty used to different climates and people. Thanks for any information on the areas mentioned above.
