Good Day,

We are moving to the Orlando area in a few days. We do not want to buy a house without knowing the area. We are looking for a nice area with an easy commute to the airport. We would prefer if the unit is close to a running trial, park and farmer's market.

Our budget is $1200-1400 (prefer 2 bedroom although 1 is sufficient.)
Short-Term Lease - 3 no more than 6 months
Military Discount would be nice, however not a requirement.

Thanks for your help. We appreciate any guidance to help us transition.

All this is easily doable except maybe the short term lease. Generally short term leases come with a increase in price but you should still be able to find what you want in your price range. Best areas are Winter Park, Downtown, Baldwin Park and College Park. I'm not sure about a 2 but you can certainly find a 1 br that will meet all your criteria in these areas.

First, Thank you for your service!

Next, Watermark Apartments and Northlake Park apartments in Lake Nona have short term leases starting at 3 months. Drive time is about 15 minutes to the airport. Not 100% sure there is a current military discount, here are the links for info:

You want at least a 6 months least though otherwise you get hit with a high tax rate because less than 6 months is considered vacation so it's taxed.

I'm in watermark and it's a great apartment. Very nice, 1gb Internet and reasonably priced. Thee bad is that it's pretty far away from anything in Orlando outside of the airport and what's in the lake Nona area, but it's a good apartment to start in.
